I’m pleased to announce that The Sparklestone Foundation, the non-profit entity that served as producer for My Skin’s On Fire, has been granted 501-C3 Non-Profit tax status by the IRS. This means, effectively, that we are now in a position to receive tax-deductible contributions in order to continue the work we began with this film and begin to develop more projects and media-based activities. Please consider making a contribution to the Sparklestone Foundation, so that we can continue to make films which broaden people’s understanding of chronic diseases such as psoriasis, ms, and what are currently understood as autoimmune diseases.

In the Sparklestone pages you will find my posts (Sparks - Fred’s blog) which chronicle my effort to throw a light on how psoriasis impacts the lives of hundreds of thousands of otherwise healthy individuals.

Our first film, My Skin’s On Fire, began in 2003 and focused on the day-to-day realities of living with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. It has the support of the National Psoriasis Foundation.

You can find posts about this past project under the category, Skinfire in Sparklestone.org. These are listed in chronilogical order, from most recent to oldest, starting in 2003.

You can find resources specific to psoriasis, and events planned in the San Francisco Bay area by people involved in the local psoriasis support organization.
